Today the Agreement on the Unified Patent Court officially enters into force, with Italy within the system. It is not a point of arrival: it is a point of departure. It is still our duty to thank all those who have worked over these long years to achieve this result, hoping against any hope, responding blow for blow to misinformation and interested resistance. Let us now all work together to make this important new system work in the best possible way, in the interests of our businesses and of the whole of Europe.
