New European Commission report on the protection and enforcement of IP rights in third countries

The European Commission has just published its biannual ‘Report on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in third countries’. You can find it at the following link: https://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2020/january/tradoc_158561.pdf.

Such a report identifies countries outside of the EU in which the state of IP protection and enforcement gives rise to the greatest concern and provides an update of the existing Commission’s list of priority countries. It aims to improve IP rights protection and enforcement worldwide, as well as inform rights holders, including SMEs, of the potential risks when conducting business in certain countries.
